Milton Avery was a beast

So, I'm all about abstract expressionism. Don't get me wrong. I think it's super interesting to look at, and  in particular to understand the historical significance of abstract expressionist art. But everyone was all like this art is super serious and intense.

No, like super serious and intense and emotional.

And Milton Avery knew all these people. But was all like, I not gonna do that. And like emotions are cool. But like. I'm gonna paint the most beautiful sheep painting ever. Look at this. I mean. These sheep are the shit.

I folded this Post-It and I realized that it would be a pretty sweet design for a purse.

Little stuffed animals

For this I used felt in a few neutral colors, glass seed beads, thread and a needle.

You should use pins and pillow stuffing, I didn't, but it would have made my projects nicer. I ended up stuffing it with scraps of felt (which made them a little lumpy).

So this isn't going to be that how-to-ish. Sorry. I really sort of made it up as I went. I only used a few skills though. I rolled them and then sewed the roll shut, like I did for the dino's head.

For other parts I just pieced them together and then stuffed them with felt scraps. That's pretty much how I made the entire bird.

And the shark.

Also, I gathered little strips for the lion's mane, which I think will be good for a hairpin project...
